Bird

So a funny thing happened today. Here is the story.....

I came home from work and walked into my apartment and was putting my stuff away when I heard a funny noise. I didn't know what it was but after listening again I was convinced there was some sort of animal in my apartment behind my washer and dryer. I sort of freaked out and was too afraid to look. I texted Rob but he was in a class and didn't get my text for awhile. I sat at home listening to this noise when it finally hit me what it had to be. It had to be a bird... I heard flapping sounds.... scratching sounds... and little beeps once in awhile. I called my dad and asked if it was possible for a bird to fly in my dryer vent. He said anything is possible especially if it didn't have a cover. I looked outside and our apartment is pretty old and ghetto and of course it didn't have a cover. I waited and waited and finally Rob came home. When he got home he moved out our drier and took off the pipe. Sure enough.... a bird. Luckily we had opened the kitchen door and it only took a few seconds for the panicked bird to realize it had a way out and flew through our apartment and right out the door. Oh ya, I forgot to mention Rob did scream when he first saw the bird and I thought it bit him (it didn't.) Seriously.... what are the chances of this happening???

Awesome and amazing!!! We had a wood burning stove at my parents house as a kid and we had birds fly in there maybe three times in the 18 years I lived there. Never through the dryer though-you are just lucky!

Crazy and kinda creepy. Glad Rob didn't get bit--although that would have justified his scream a bit more. Gotta love the stories you'll have from life in your ghetto apts. I hope life is going well for you guys. Love ya.
