Maddie and I went back to Utah for 3 weeks to hang out with family and friends. Rob was going to be in California for about 10 days and I decided I didn't want to stay in Ohio by myself so we headed back to Utah. The time went by so fast and we stayed super busy (I should have taken more pictures but I always forget to pull out my camera..) Here are some highlights from my trip... in no particular order!
- COUSIN TIME!!! I really am so lucky to have the best cousins in the world. I got to spend a lot of time with them this vacation. We had barbeques, played games, went to dinner, watched football, spent a weekend in Logan, and of course had lots of quality time to talk and catch up! It was so fun! I seriously love every minute of time I get to spend with my awesome cousins!!!
-Amanda- I am also lucky to have such an awesome Best Friend! I got to spend a few days talking, eating good food, playing with our little girls, going on walks, shopping, etc. We really need to be next door neighbors!!! We have so much fun together! :)
-High School Friends- It was so fun to catch up and go to dinner with my high school friends... we were missing a few but it was fun to see some I hadn't seen in years! We ate at Cheesecake Factory which was delicious and it was so much fun to just sit and talk. I also can't believe I have been out of high school for 9 years. I also got to spend another night with Molly which is always so fun! I love that we have kids almost the same age and we never run out of things to talk about!!!
-Utah State Football game- Maybe the single highlight of my trip was that the Aggies finally beat the Utes and I was there to witness it! It was such a fun game and it was so good to be able to be in Logan with friends and family! Thanks so much to my mom who drove me up and watched Maddie during the game!
-Maddie's Early Birthday Party- I decided since Maddie is so close to turning one I needed to have an early birthday party for her while we were in Utah. I invited our families and it was so fun! Thank you so much for Rob's family for coming. We almost had everyone! We ate yummy food, talked, watched Maddie eat cake, and opened presents! It was such a blast!!!
-Family Time- I know this is getting long but really I have the best immediate family too. My parents are too good to me and seriously do so much for me. They make it so fun to come visit and it is so fun to see how much they Love Maddie! I was also so happy because I got to see Dave and Mike & Kimber and their cute kids. I wish we all lived closer. Nancy also came out to see us several times and we met her at City Creek for lunch too! I am one lucky girl!
The only things that could have made my trip more fun would have been...
1. Rob with us!! (We miss him so much when we are apart)
2. Maddie sleeping better
3. USU & BYU making game ending field goals
